InvestDavanagere.com was launched to create quality jobs in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. It began with a webinar hosted by Vijay Karnataka on July 24, 2020, featuring Dr. Nagaraj Reddy, focusing on rebuilding Davanagere during the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the construction sector. This led to the formation of a group aimed at attracting investors, government agencies, entrepreneurs, agritech farmers, educators, students, and political leaders. The website was registered on July 25, 2020, and a successful WhatsApp group followed. The first seminar took place on August 14, 2020, with Dr. Gururaj Deshpande.

​Dr. Gururaj Deshpande, chairman of the Deshpande Foundation, advised the group on launching the initiative. In just one month, over 125 people joined. The first webinar with him was extensively covered by Vijay Karnataka, followed by a second webinar on August 24, 2020, featuring Honorable MP GM Siddeshwara, conducted by Sadananda Hegde, editor of Vijay Karnataka, with about twenty participants from the InvestDavanagere forum.
